Texas Board Certified Personal Injury Lawyers
Mr. Derryberry and Mr. Zips are both Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Less than 3% of the lawyers in Texas are board certified. Becoming board certified in personal injury trial law requires the lawyer to have tried a minimum number of cases to verdict, and requires recommendations by other attorneys and judges. The applicant must then pass a rigorous test in the specialty area. After becoming board certified, the attorney must complete additional hours of education in order to retain the certification.
